5 Fantastic Flower Shops in Toronto

5 Fantastic Flower Shops in Toronto

My IG feed has been chock-full of flowers in the last few weeks and for good reason. Spring has been quite weird in Toronto this year, but the one thing that still gives me hope for warmer weather is fresh flowers. There’s something about having a bouquet of blooms sitting on the coffee table, just waiting to brighten up my day once I get home after a long day. Toronto is fortunate enough to have a ton of awesome and aesthetically pleasing flower shops all around the city. There’s likely one in your neighbourhood that you never knew was there, so be sure to do a bit of research to find your local lover of all things blossom and bloom. I decided to share my excitement for household nature with you this weekend by highlighting some of my favourite flower shops in Toronto. Obviously there are more than what’s listed here, and this list is presented to you in no particular order. Check it out:

  1. Crown Flora

Crown Flora bouquets have been featured on my social a few times now, courtesy of Ted Baker. I was gifted this stunning pink bundle at a press event for the London-based brand a few weeks back and I’m still in love. The options at Crown Flora are endless, ranging from wedding bouquets, to custom floral arrangements, and even terrariums overflowing with little baby succulents. They also offer styling for creative and editorial projects, as well as workshops for all of you who like to get your own hands dirty!

  2. Summerhill Floral Boutique

For some awesome seasonal and specialty flowers in Mid-town T.O., check out Summer hill Floral Boutique. As part of the Summerhill Market, customers of the floral boutique can create their own bouquets, or consult an expert for some artfully designed blossoms. Order your dream bunch online through their website, or stop by in-store to sample some of the gourmet baskets, produce, and platters that the rest of the market has to offer.

  3. Flox on Danforth

For those of you hailing from Greektown, Flox on Danforth is the florist for you to visit, for sure. Owner Dukhee Chon studied painting at the Ontario College of Art, but ultimately decided to channel that creativity into natural mediums. Now Chon is churning out some pretty impressive custom arrangements and potted plants. Plus, you’ll be greeted by a friendly flamingo-shaped topiary, which is reason in itself to stop by this Danforth shop.

  4. Flùr

Remember when I mentioned aesthetically pleasing flower shops? Well you’ll get a pretty good feel for what I mean by just visiting Flùr’s website, let alone the brick-and-mortar shop. On Mondays and Tuesdays Chloë Fraser is only available by appointment (which you can book by email or by phone), but on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, her specialty shop also offers ceramics, planters, and stationery.

  5. Fiori Floral Design

All of my Forest Hill friends will be happy to know that Fiori Floral Design offers not only stunning custom bouquets and centerpieces, but super cute gift-ware and planters as well. No matter the venue or the budget, Fiori uses the highest quality and freshest blooms available. They specialize in event design and décor, so book your consultation (by appointment only), or stop by the shop to be transported into the garden of your dreams.

Do you have a fave flower shop in the city? What does your dream bouquet look like? Mine is full of pinks and whites, with a handful of champagne roses sprinkled throughout. Oh, and have the best long weekend, friends!
